The Office of Research Integrity and Compliance is committed to helping faculty, staff, and students comply with all applicable federal, state, and institutional requirements and policies. Research integrity and compliance areas covered by this office include Human Subjects Protections, Animal Welfare, Biosafety, Conflict of Interest, and Responsible Conduct of Research. These pages will provide information on policies and procedures, guidelines, educational programs, and monitoring and accountability in these areas.
NOTICE: As of May 15, 2013, the Office of Research Integrity & Compliance (ORIC) and the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the review of studies involving human subjects is no longer accepting Not Human Subject Research (NHSR), exempt-level or expedited-level reviews via the BRAAN2 system. Instead, all applications of those types must be submitted via the WVU+kc system. Research involving animals and where biological safety policies and guidelines are applicable is not affected by this change. We appreciate your patience while we are in the process of rolling out our new submission system.
