Reminder to Use WVU Login When Using CITI Training Website
When using the WVU+kc (Kuali Coeus) electronic research system, you may have noticed that completed Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) training courses display in the Personnel section for each person associated with an IRB protocol or proposal. If you are completing a protocol or proposal and notice that your CITI trainings do not display or are not accurate, this issue is most likely because you have been using an old account to log into CITI instead of using your WVU Login username and password.
WVU and CITI initiated a single-sign on process in October 2014 that allows WVU employees to use their WVU credentials to login to CITI. In order for your trainings to display in WVU+kc, you will need to login to CITI using your WVU Login username and password using the “Login via SSO” link and complete your trainings. If you have completed CITI trainings using an account created at another institution or under a different username, please contact CITI and request to merge your old account(s) with your WVU account. Instructions can be found on CITI’s website. Once your old account has been merged with your WVU Login account, all of your CITI trainings will display in WVU+kc.
Questions about required CITI trainings should be referred to the Office of Research Integrity & Compliance at 304.293.7073. Any technical issues should be reported to ITS Service Desk at 304.293.4444 or ITSHelp@mail.wvu.edu.
